A course that reviews and analyzes films that are considered radical and/or controversial for their content in terms of their formal approach and how theyexamine key social, historical and cultural events of their time. Films are selected for analysis and critique in this course to identify how they chronicle the black experience in America and the black Diaspora from the early 20th century to the present.
